ROYAL PARADE SADDLE entirely covered with red velvet embroidered with floral scrolls, silver thread and yellow silk foliage. It is embroidered, on the quarters of the pistol cases, with passementeries and gold embroidered cannetilles representing men in armour under tents with, at their feet, a trophy of weapons (flags, drums); the small quarters are embroidered with a fleur de lys and sprays of foliage. At the back, on the cantle, passementeries and cannetilles embroidered with gold depicting men in armour under tents with, at their feet, a trophy of arms (flags, drums). Rich writings in ink under the saddle and dated 1765 Period XVIIIth century - Would have been designed for a Spanish ambassador (velvet filed, embroidery worn, restorations, missing caps of pistol cases).
