A solid silver covered ewer resting on a round foot with repoussé decoration of fruit alternating with putti faces. The ovoid body chased with three cartouches representing three scenes of the Passion of Christ (The Last Supper, The Crucifixion and The Resurrection) in a frame of foliage scrolls, faces of putti caryatids supporting rolled up leathers and garlands of fruits on an amati background. The flat spout supported by an ionic mascaron. The handle with leafy scrolls is surmounted by a dog's head. The fretelle is decorated with a pelican piercing its chest with its beak and whose blood is collected by two young birds. Paris around 1762-1768 Master goldsmith : two crossed keys (not identified) Weight : 400 g Height : 22,5 cm (oxidations, fretelle with a depression and a light detachment)
